How we operate

Cómo operamos

The operating standard behind CAGSA, MOVA, and INCO.

Every business in the Mediavertical portfolio is run by its own team, against a clear operating standard, with real autonomy over how it gets there. Mediavertical steps in when something drifts, not before.

CAGSA and MOVA compete on the same two things: technical certification that clients can point to when regulators ask, and a site or process built close enough to the client's operations that logistics stop being the client's problem. INCO applies the same discipline to energy: matching technology and energy source to what each client's operation actually needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all system.

The operating model

Mediavertical is organized the way McKinsey's operating-model work describes best practice for multi-business portfolios: structure defines where capability sits, and decision rights define who actually decides, who is consulted, and who is only informed — laid out explicitly rather than left to default to whoever's in the room. We keep that split simple and consistent across all three companies.

  • Decided at Mediaverticalcapital allocation across the portfolio, board-level governance, the certification and compliance bar each company must clear, and financing

A capital allocator, not an integrator

There are two well-documented ways to run a multi-company portfolio. One, associated with Danaher's operating system, integrates acquisitions tightly around a shared set of tools and processes the parent enforces everywhere. The other, associated with Constellation Software, keeps a small corporate center focused on capital allocation, performance review, and governance, while each operating company keeps its own management and customer relationships intact.

Mediavertical follows the second model. Environmental remediation, hazardous waste treatment, and energy services are three different regulated technical disciplines; forcing them onto one shared playbook would slow down the people who actually know each field. Each company keeps its own leadership and technical judgment. Mediavertical's job is capital, governance, and holding every company to the same certification standard, not running their operations for them.
